Abstract

Krogmann F. R.
Thuengersheim

He is said to be also an ophthalmologist, especially because he published a ,liber de oculo‘. Medical historians are divided about his significance for medicine. But the speaker of this paper acknowledges the great merits of Peter of Spain for medicine and especially for ophthalmology by several examples.
